Gaman does not collect your data. There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics. One screen, and only that one, asks the network a question — see Prices below.
Everything the app records is written to storage on your device, shared only between Gaman and its own extensions:
None of it is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
The What If screen shows what a symbol was worth on the day you were tempted
and what it is worth now. To do that the app has to ask somebody, so it sends
two things to our price endpoint at
gaman.kicks.studio/api/price: the symbol, and the date.
That is the whole request. It carries no account, no device identifier and nothing that could tie it to you — there is no account to tie it to. We keep no logs of it and set no cookies. The endpoint passes the question to a public market-data service and hands the two numbers back.
Answers are cached on your phone, so the same symbol is not asked about twice, and no other screen in Gaman ever touches the network. If you never open What If, nothing leaves your device at all.
Gaman uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity) to place a wall in front of the apps you select. Apple's framework is what does the blocking; your selection is stored by iOS in a form that hides the identity of the apps from the developer.
Gaman may post a notification to your own device after you answer at the wall. Notifications are generated locally. Nothing is sent through a push server.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Gaman asks Apple whether a subscription is active and receives yes or no. We never see your name, your Apple Account, or your payment details.
Gaman is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it.
